Product description

  • PERFECT "THUMP" RESPONSE: this beater delivers punchy low end tone on a cajon that's dialed-in for playing with an acoustic band; it brings out warmer bass notes with softer attack than standard kick drum beaters
  • WHY IT MATTERS: standard kick beaters will likely crack a thin wooden cajon frontplate, and they'll have a much brighter sound; Meinl Cajon Beaters are made specifically to draw out a deep, well-rounded "thud" while not damaging your cajon
  • DRIVING THE SOUND: the beater head is made with soft, dense foam rubber; this spongey material naturally produces warm mid-range with a nice soft kick
  • ONE BIG THING: equipped with two brass jingles that give your bass notes a light blend of tambourine highs; turn these jingles "on and off" with the mechanical knob
  • ZOOM IN: the flat surface makes flush contact with your cajon; this gives the beater a wider impact area to spread energy out and avoid putting too much pressure on sensitive cajon frontplates
  • OF NOTE: Meinl Cajon Beaters work with all cajon pedals or regular bass drum pedals; the metal stem is sized to strike any cajon in the sweet spot; it's a little shorter than most standard kick drum beaters because it doesn't need to reach as far
  • THE BOTTOM LINE: get a deeper, more well-rounded tone from your cajon if you play with a pedal, and extend the life of your cajon frontplate
  • THE BIG PICTURE: Meinl is a family-owned musical instrument manufacturer and brand established 1951 in Germany; our expert German designers have deep relationships with our builders to ensure you're delivered the absolute finest quality
