• Connects a 10/100Base-TX RJ45 Ethernet device to 100Base-FX single-mode fiber through an SC port, creating a copper-to-fiber Fast Ethernet link at up to 100 Mbps for extending network segments where fiber is required.
• WDM bi-directional design sends and receives over one strand of 9/125 μm single-mode fiber, using 1310 nm receive and 1550 nm transmit wavelengths to support fiber runs up to 20 km or 12.4 miles between endpoints.
• RJ45 port supports 10/100 connections up to 100 m or 300 ft. with Cat5e or better cabling, and Auto MDI/MDI-X simplifies installation by automatically handling cable type on the copper Ethernet connection.
• Built for Fast Ethernet deployments, this converter supports jumbo frames up to 1.6 KBytes and provides front LEDs for power, link/activity, full duplex or collision, 100 Mbps RJ45 speed, and fiber link status monitoring.
• Use it as a stand-alone converter on a desktop or shelf, or install it in the compatible 14-slot Media Converter Chassis model 507356 when you need a more organized multi-converter setup in network environments.
• For WDM bi-directional operation, this unit must be paired with model 510547, making it suitable for matched single-strand fiber links that separate transmit and receive traffic by wavelength across the same fiber run.
• Includes an external power adapter and features a metal housing that measures 4.13 x 2.72 x 0.98 in. and weighs 0.4 lb., giving you a compact media conversion option for Fast Ethernet single-mode fiber installations.
