• Converts 10/100/1000Base-T Ethernet over RJ45 to 1000Base-SX multimode fiber through an SC duplex port, helping bridge copper and fiber segments in Gigabit network setups.
• Supports auto-negotiation with 10/100/1000 Mbps RJ45 speeds and full-duplex or half-duplex operation, making it easier to connect with existing Ethernet equipment.
• Extends links up to 1,800 ft. on 50/125 μm multimode fiber, up to 720 ft. on 62.5/125 μm fiber, and up to 300 ft. on the copper RJ45 connection.
• Includes Link Fault Passthrough, QoS bandwidth management, IEEE 802.1Q VLAN tagging, and support for jumbo frames up to 9.2 kBytes for flexible network traffic handling.
• Uses 850 nm wavelength and supports cut-through plus store-and-forward switching architecture for copper-to-fiber migration or network expansion with multimode SC fiber.
• Status LEDs show power, link/activity, optical signal input, and RJ45 speed indicators, while the DIP switch lets you enable LFP or restrict the RJ45 port to 10 Mbps.
• Functions as a stand-alone media converter or with the 14-slot Media Converter Chassis model 507356; includes an external 5 VDC power adapter and metal housing.
