• Apparition At Knock: On 21 August 1879, fifteen witnesses reported seeing the Virgin Mary at the gable wall of the parish church in Knock, County Mayo. She appeared in a white cloak and golden crown, her hands raised in prayer. This statue holds that image exactly as the witnesses described it.
• Gilded Parian Figure: Made of Parian China, which is lighter and more translucent than bone china. 24-carat gold finishes the crown, brooch, and base with precise, clean detail. The figure stands at 11 inches tall and passes through sixteen pairs of hands at the County Fermanagh factory to ensure its quality.
• Crowned In Prayer: The figure stands robed in Parian ivory, hands clasped in prayer, a gold brooch at the chest. The crown is formed from individual roses, each shaped from Parian China and gilded before firing. The base carries Our Lady of Knock in gold script. Knock has been a place of pilgrimage for Irish Catholics ever since.
